On 27 November 2025, the Healthcare & Biotech Track opened at the Russian-Thai Investment Forum 2025 in Phuket. For ImagineHealth, the occasion represented far more than participation in another industry event.
As the forum's official Business Program Partner for healthcare, ImagineHealth was entrusted with designing, curating and coordinating the full track. Our responsibility was to create a credible platform through which Thailand's healthcare, wellness and biotechnology capabilities could be presented to Russian investors, decision-makers and potential partners.
This role reflected what ImagineHealth has built in the market: an independent position, trusted relationships across sectors and the ability to bring the right institutions and voices into one focused conversation.
Designing a programme with strategic purpose
A strong business programme is not created by filling a timetable. It begins with the questions the audience needs answered and the mix of perspectives required to answer them credibly.
ImagineHealth curated the Healthcare & Biotech Track around Thailand's position in global healthcare, the country's growing biotechnology capabilities and the practical opportunities for deeper Russian-Thai cooperation. The programme connected government, hospital groups, clinical leadership, diagnostics, integrative wellness and sports health rather than presenting these areas in isolation.
The opening plenary established that direction under the theme "Thailand as a Global Success Story in Healthcare and Biotech: Innovation, Excellence, and International Collaboration." ImagineHealth Founder and CEO Henning Kalwa led the session as moderator.

Distinguished voices from across Thailand's health ecosystem
The opening panel brought together leaders whose organisations represent different but complementary strengths within Thailand's health economy. Together, the speakers gave the audience a wider view of Thailand's achievements and future direction. Their contributions demonstrated that the country's international position rests not on one institution or treatment category, but on the way clinical excellence, research, diagnostics, hospitality and wellness capabilities increasingly reinforce one another.

Healthcare diplomacy built on trust
The forum also created an important setting for relationship-building between Russia and Thailand. We were honoured to meet H.E. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand, whose presence reflected the wider bilateral significance of the event.
Cross-border healthcare cooperation requires more than commercial interest. It depends on trust, cultural understanding, institutional credibility and a clear view of what each side can contribute.
ImagineHealth's independence is valuable in this context. We do not represent one hospital, clinic or technology. We can therefore convene different parts of the ecosystem, help international partners understand the market and focus attention on collaborations with genuine strategic fit.
Thailand's global healthcare and biotech opportunity
The discussion explored how Thailand's commitment to innovation, international collaboration and clinical excellence has positioned the country across healthcare, medical tourism, wellness and biotechnology.
Panelists addressed the country's future position, the expanding role of biotechnology and the potential for Russian-Thai cooperation in advanced care delivery, wellness innovation, laboratory science and research. Across the conversation, one point remained consistent: Thailand has significant strengths, but their international value grows when they are clearly connected and communicated.
Henning also contributed ImagineHealth's perspective through his talk, "Thailand's Leading Role in Global Medical Tourism," examining how medical excellence, hospitality and entrepreneurial energy can support Thailand's evolution into a broader health and longevity hub.
From a full room to practical next steps
The quality of the programme was visible not only on stage but in the conversations that continued throughout the day. Thai organisations and Russian delegates used the track to compare priorities, test ideas and identify areas where further discussion could lead to investment, co-developed programmes or long-term cooperation.
That is the purpose of independent programme leadership. A forum creates value when it moves beyond promotion and provides enough substance, balance and trust for serious partnerships to begin.
ImagineHealth thanks every speaker, panelist, organiser and participant who contributed to the Healthcare & Biotech Track. We are proud to have designed and led a programme worthy of the forum and to continue serving as a bridge between Thailand's health ecosystem and international partners.
