ImagineHealth organised three packed days of healthcare-provider visits in Bangkok for a delegation from the Moscow Department of Health. The delegation travelled to Thailand specifically to learn from the country's private healthcare sector and explore the systems, expertise and service culture behind its international reputation.

From 4 to 6 November 2024, ImagineHealth designed and coordinated a programme that introduced the group to a wide variety of Thai providers. The agenda went beyond formal presentations, creating direct access to hospital leaders, specialist teams, clinical environments and operational models.

The programme reflected a central part of ImagineHealth's work: translating international interest into relevant local access and creating the conditions for useful, trusted professional exchange.

A deliberately varied programme

The delegation visited Bumrungrad International Hospital, Samitivej Hospital Sukhumvit, Thainakarin Hospital, Bangkok Hospital and Vejthani International Hospital. Together, the visits offered a broad view of Thailand's healthcare landscape rather than an impression based on a single institution.

The programme covered centres of excellence, maternity and paediatric care, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, digestive and cardiovascular care, robotic surgery, scientific wellness and international patient services. Every visit was selected to contribute a distinct perspective.

ImagineHealth's role was to connect the delegation with appropriate hosts, shape a coherent learning journey and ensure that the conversations addressed the visitors' professional interests.

Clinical excellence, innovation and human care

At Bumrungrad, senior leaders and experts introduced several centres of excellence. Samitivej shared its approach to care for mothers and children. Bangkok Hospital demonstrated advanced capabilities including Da Vinci robotic surgery and modern rehabilitation.

Vejthani presented its recognised orthopaedic expertise and rehabilitation services, while Thainakarin made a lasting impression through the genuine warmth and attention shown by its team.

Together, the visits showed that Thailand's international healthcare strength is not defined by technology alone. It also depends on coordinated teams, efficient patient pathways, clear communication and care delivered with empathy.

Cross-border learning built on trust

Professional delegations create value when they are designed around genuine learning. The right experts need to be in the room, the programme must reflect the visitors' priorities and both sides need enough context to have a meaningful conversation.
